Green is the way to go

Cranleigh Freight commits to energy conservation and carbon offsetting.

As the advert so rightly says 'it's not easy being green' but award-winning Cranleigh Freight Services Ltd has committed to a number of environmentally friendly initiatives for 2008.

The winner of the 2007 Business & Commerce Today award for Transport and Logistics has published its new Environmental and Sustainability Policy 2008, encompassing everything from carbon offsetting to recycling and buying Fair-trade produce. Cranleigh Freight has decided to lead by example in a much criticised industry. CFS's mission is to develop a sustainable approach to business which considers the environment, waste reduction and safety within all areas of the business.

The policy concentrates on key areas of concern from environmental damage to company procurement. CFS also sets out a strategy for implementation and future objects, as well as a review and achievement mechanism.

The policy paves the way forward for the company to work towards a Greener future. It has pledged to continually reassess its policies so it can to be socially responsible, producing a positive impact on society. It may not be easy to be green, but Cranleigh Freight has recognised the importance of the environment and has pledged to make its own improvements.
