Wincanton can win always with MANITOU

As a European leader in the design and delivery of advanced supply chain solutions Wincanton need to equip themselves with the latest machinery to provide an unrivalled delivery service and this maxim is important for their building materials supply division, RDL Distribution (part of the Wincanton group) who have recently purchased fourteen MANITRANSITS model type TMT2520SR. These truck mounted forklifts with the telescopic boom will operate nationwide in the delivery of bricks, blocks, timber and roof tiles. RDL have twenty five strategically located depots throughout the U.K. from Stirling in Scotland to Poole in Dorset and are committed to adding value for customers and adopting a flexible approach to match customer demands whilst maintaining strict cost control programs.

Howard Rowbotham of Wincanton commented on the performance of the new blue livery MANITRANSITS 'It is very important for our driver to be in control, allowing him to offload from one side thanks to the telescopic boom and to have the ability to deliver the goods to exactly where they are needed'. Previous experience of operating MANITRANSITS was a deciding factor in the acquisition of the new machines. Howard continued 'We are gearing ourselves up for a five year expansion plan to satisfy the growing demand for construction build materials. Part of the strategy is to give the customer the latest technology machinery. The MANITRANSITS represent a significant investment for the company and will be playing a major role in the future success of our company in providing responsive and reliable equipment'.

M.E.B. Equipment of Harefield supplied the MANITRANSITS.

Stop Press: Following the delivery of the fourteen MANITRANSITS, Wincanton have purchased Swales Transport of Aldermaston, Berkshire who own two MANITRANSITS.
