IPP Logipal sets sail for Seven Seas with new contract

IPP Logipal (UK), the fast growing FMCG pallet rental provider, has announced it is now supplying Seven Seas after being awarded a new contract.

Manufacturers of the well known cod liver oil products, Seven Seas was established in 1935 and has grown from a small local co-operative based in Hull, to a major international healthcare company.

Today the company operates a production facility with a products list consisting of a broad range of vitamin, mineral and health supplements, herbal and homoeopathically-prepared remedies and over-the-counter medicines.

With Seven Seas products a firm family favourite for many decades, an efficient pallet delivery system is a must in ensuring remedies are available for customers when required.

The operation employs standard UK size pallets, which are shipped from IPP Logipal's Widnes and Nuneaton depots to the company's distribution centre in Hull. Over 20,000 one-way pallet trips will be made a year to retailers across the UK.

The one-way trip service provides a cost effective solution and the inclusion of quality control checks matched to KPI (key performance indicator) criteria ensures the procedure is carried out at the highest possible standards.

Seven Seas supply chain director, Andrew Shaw, comments: "Having previously bought pallets from a local supplier we opted to change for a cost effective rental solution but were not prepared to compromise on quality.

"From the initial pre contract meetings to the final agreement, we were impressed with IPP Logipal's consistently high level of customer service. The whole process was made as simple as possible."

Andrew adds: "Due to the nature of Seven Seas products, the distribution operation needs to adhere to the stringent quality and hygiene principles implemented throughout our manufacturing and production processes. IPP Logipal operates to the same high standards, which is vital to our partnership."
