Stiller Tankers on the move with MAN
Stiller Tankers Ltd have taken delivery of 16 new MAN tractor units, supporting further development in the company's 24/7 operations across the powders, fuels and chemicals markets. This move brings the total of new units put on the road by Stiller Group over the past six months to 27, representing a total investment in excess of £2.2M.
With business expanding fast across all market sectors served by Stiller Tankers, expansion of the fleet was essential to facilitate day and night operations. Further investment has also seen the company take delivery of nine new tanks, all featuring Stiller Group's updated livery.
Designed for ultimate economy and driver comfort, the vehicles have been selected to optimise safety, fuel efficiency and performance in line with Euro 4 and future Euro 5 legislation. Additional extras including automated gearboxes to reduce driver fatigue, whilst high specification sleeper cabs deliver greater driver comfort.
Speaking on behalf of Stiller Group drivers, Geoff Everitt commented, "Investment in this calibre of equipment shows Stiller Group's commitment to its employees as well as its customer base. We value the quality of the equipment we use in our day to day working lives, and are delighted with this level of fleet enhancement."
"Optimising asset utilisation is vital for Stiller Tankers," stated Managing Director George Simpson. "Enhancing our fleet underlines our commitment to delivering excellence in all areas and gives us the capacity to support our planned increase in market share across the powders, fuels and chemicals sectors. We are also investigating alternative fuel systems and improvements to benefit our customers and to reduce environmental impact."
