SCA Packaging @ Foodex Meatex

At this year's Foodex Meatex exhibition, SCA Packaging's Industrial Division will be showcasing a range of packaging solutions for applications across the food supply chain, incorporating the companies "Be Seen, Be Moved, Be Secure" philosophy across their stand.

Be Seen - In the retail sector SCA seeks to support their customers to build brands in-store, making sure their products are noticed time and time again. As Market Manager Mark Furman explains; "the focus of the Industrial Division is often on the awkward and bulky shaped items that do not fit neatly on to the shelf and can present a problem to the retailer."

In particular, their packs have proved successful for the storage and display of promotional items when the large volume of additional product supplied to stores leads to a shortage of plastic returnable systems. SCA's Bulk Display Units can be designed and to fit alongside the retailers existing units maintaining a consistent store image, or be utilised to enhance product appeal with the addition of custom designed graphics.

Be Moved - Every business needs cost effective packaging solutions that get product to their final destination on time and in pristine condition. SCA's Easter egg shipper is a key example of this process at work. These pressure sensitive goods are packed with care and provided with total protection on their journey from the site of manufacture to the store. The pack on display includes a drop front system for ease of picking at the point of purchase.

Be Secure - The Octagonal bulk WIP pack that will be on display is just one example for the work in progress (WIP) solutions supplied by SCA for the storage of part finished goods waiting further processing. These packs are utilised for the storage of frozen seasonal produce in a cold store environment, and for the storage of cereals in ambient conditions.
