Clark with ambitious goals

Clark Europe GmbH, Mulheim a.d. Ruhr, expects renewed above-average growth for the 2008 financial year in the core areas of production, sales and servicing of electrical, diesel and gas propelled fork lifts. Since its re-establishment in September 2004 as part of the South Korean conglomerate Young An Hat Company, Clark Europe GmbH has been the starting point for European activities in the industrial truck industry. In 2007 the company was again able to record above-average growth under CEO Egon Strehl.

Clark Europe GmbH - Forecast 2008
Growth rates that again substantially exceed the market - slower though still solid growth compared with the Clark 2007 financial year. In 2008 Clark Europe GmbH wants to add sustainable market shares. The company expects a 23% increase in revenue over the 2007 figures and is also striving for 16% more orders compared with the excellent 41% in 2007. In 2008 the expected growth in spare parts transactions should be 17% over the previous year. The planned increase in new device deliveries is striking - it should increase over the previous year by around 20%.

Growth drivers in 2008
Several factors confidently predict that the declared Clark objectives will be achieved. On the one hand in 2008 Clark will launch devices that have been especially designed for the European market. On the other Clark Europe GmbH aims to expand the depth and width of its European dealer network. The expansion of the dealer network will be accompanied by internal strengthening. Clark Europe GmbH - which now offers apprenticeships - expects to employ 10 new staff in 2008. Clark will also benefit from the 2007 innovation review; both in terms of new services and the classical counterweight fork lift division as well as the new industrial segments such as warehouse technology. New orders in the second half of 2007 lead to this conclusion. Lastly Clark's focus is also on the East European market, which after 44% growth in 2007 still offers excellent opportunities in the industrial technology segment.

Clark at the CeMAT 2008
With over 1000 exhibitors and over 50,000 visitors expected, the CeMAT 2008 in Hanover, the leading global fair for internal logistics, will be the key starting point for all of Clark's activities in the first half of 2008. From 27th to 31st May 2008 Clark Europe GmbH will present itself to the international audience of specialists with a wide range of strong innovations and a fresh exhibition concept over 650 sqm of exhibition space in Hall 25 Stand K12.
