Paragon signs distribution agreement with Navman Wireless

Paragon Fleet Controller and Navman Wireless tracking and navigation combine to provide 'one-stop shop' transport management solution

Building on the two companies' existing successful commercial relationship, leading provider of transport optimisation and execution technology, Paragon has signed an agreement to distribute Navman Wireless tracking technology.

As part of the agreement, Paragon's Fleet Controller software solution can now be provided complete with Navman Wireless's vehicle tracking, messaging and navigation products, incorporating existing interfaces, to enable real-time vehicle activity to be tracked automatically against planned routes and schedules.

"By offering Navman Wireless vehicle tracking together with our Fleet Controller software, we are able to offer a complete, integrated transport management solution," confirms Paragon managing director Will Salter. "As a result, customers benefit from an advanced 'one-stop shop' planning and tracking system backed by Paragon's unrivalled upfront support."

Customer service
The Fleet Controller software module integrates Paragon's established routing and scheduling capabilities with fleet tracking technology, giving transport managers full visibility of how the day's plan is progressing and providing an accurate picture of transport and service performance.

This enables companies to significantly improve customer service levels, respond efficiently to problems or delays that arise, ensure delivery schedules are legal and achievable and unearth hidden inefficiencies to drive continuous performance improvement.

"In achieving this, Navman Wireless provides the ideal fit for Paragon, because of its strong track record of technology innovation and reliability," confirms Salter. "It is a leading provider of vehicle tracking and mobile data solutions for commercial fleet management, currently tracking over 70,000 vehicles - the majority of which are in the important sub-100 vehicle sector. And underpinning this, in utilising the Vodafone commercial network it provides unrivalled reliability."

Tony Neil, vice president EMEA, Navman Wireless, agrees and adds: "We are delighted that Paragon has chosen Navman Wireless for this key strategic initiative Ð this is testament to the strength of the joint solution we already have in place".

Looking ahead
In addition to its standard tracking facility, Navman Wireless offers satellite navigation, text messaging, trailer tracking and temperature monitoring: moving forward, Paragon will work closely with Navman Wireless to develop further functionality to meet identified customer needs.

At the same time, Fleet Controller will continue to interface with Isotrak and other tracking solutions for those customers operating larger fleets or with specific tracking and telematics requirements.

"In short," concludes Salter, "the agreement with Navman Wireless enables Paragon to provide what is a growing market with a powerful, unified transport management solution from a single source."
