Unlike wooden bearers, GPC bearers can be easily attached to the load by passing a strap through a slot in the top of the bearer. One of the benefits is that bearer and load are joined together so that where the load goes, the bearer goes. Alternative to the strap slot is a hot-melt strip which attaches to the bottom of the load, e.g. a tray, after the protective tape has been removed.
