With high numbers of logistics professionals in attendance, the latest Warehouse Technology Group (WTG) open day has been given an enthusiastic ‘thumbs up’ by founding WTG partner, RediGroup.

New PictureKathy Ayre, RediGroup marketing manager, comments: “Events such as this are extremely worthwhile. We were impressed not only by the quantity but also by the quality of the people that we saw during the day. People clearly came to the WTG to do business.”

RediGroup presented its full range of turnkey and stand-alone handling and storage solutions – including the award winning automated pallet storage and retrieval system, RediLogX, offered by RediGroup’s RediTechniX division.

Tony King, RediTechniX commercial manager, commented: “The level of interest in the RediLogX system was hugely encouraging. Visitors were clearly aware of the product and wanted to see what it could do for their particular storage facility.”

Held in Manchester at WTG’s Logistics Research and Innovation Centre (LRIC) – a 12,000 square feet unit fitted out by WTG partners – the day provided the chance to see and assess a broad range of warehousing and supply chain-related products and services in a ‘real world environment’.

Established to provide an insight into the latest technology available to companies operating warehouses and distribution centres, WTG is a collaboration of around 20 companies involved in the manufacture and supply of specialist equipment to the warehousing and logistics industry.

The next WTG open day event is planned for May 2014 but visitors can view the facility at any time by contacting WTG at www.wtglive.co.uk or any of the partners.
