International property and construction consultant sbh has acquired a new 212,000 sq ft warehouse and distribution facility for Bibby Distribution on a 15-acre site in Max Park, Corby. The three-bay warehouse has 16 dock levellers, two level-access doors and boasts capacity for more than 30,000 pallets.
sbh carried out the property search and acquired the building on a five-year lease, with a tenant only option to break after three years, and is subject to a detailed schedule of condition.
Working together since 2002, sbh has developed a long-term relationship with Bibby Distribution and has restructured its UK property portfolio across 31 locations, acting on property acquisitions, disposals and lease regears.

The Corby site was secured for Bibby Distribution to support a brand new three-year contract with Japanese food manufacturer Mizkan. Corby was selected by the Bibby team as the optimum location between its customer’s different production sites and their outbound customer base.
sbh’s acquisition of the new Corby site will assist Bibby Distribution’s increasing warehousing and distribution requirements and its growing business.

It currently operates from 90 sites across the UK and has in excess of 2 million sq ft of warehousing space.
