The UK’s leading provider of materials handling solutions has an annual programme of fundraising and The Midlands Air Ambulance was the company’s’ chosen charity for 2012.

The service, which receives no government or lottery funding, responds to around 3,000 emergencies every year, nearly ten each day, making it one of the busiest air ambulance organisations in the UK.

“This donation from Briggs will go a long way to supporting this vital service,” said Maria Jones, community fund raising manager from Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.

“Thanks goes to all Briggs employees who contributed to raising funds, £20,000 is a fantastic sum of money to assist our charity.”

Since April 2012, when Briggs started fundraising for the charity, employees have organised an array of events and activities including; raffles, fun days, cake sales, sponsored skydives, marathons, bike rides and a gruelling three hour sponsored spin class.

Richard Close Briggs’ Chief Executive said: “We are delighted to have supported the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. As a company we are passionate about giving help, support and time to our local communities and charitable causes.”
