The full range of insulated SPU doors, fully glazed ALR doors and APU sectional doors have all been upgraded to the series 50.

A more modern look has been achieved by the use of a standard rail width and narrower window pane sections that allow in more natural light and enhance appearance. Glazing has also been upgraded with Hörmann’s unique, scratch resistant Duratec glazing, now offered in three opaque tints, white, grey and brown.

The new door construction has helped to maintain the highly competitive prices of the aluminium doors while the Micrograin surface finish on the galvanised steel facings adds to the renowned longevity of these doors.

The established wicket door and Hörmann ThermoFrame options will be joined by a new version of the award winning Light Grille non-contact safety device, from Autumn this year.

Optional wicket doors with the unique trip free threshold have also been upgraded and are now 940mm wide and include concealed hinges as standard. This means that the clear passage through these doors has been increased by 30mm and there is now an all round flat frame. One piece concealed seals add to the upgrade of this option. Integrated, overhead door closers can also be specified adding to the security and convenience.

The Hörmann ThermoFrame creates a thermal break between the door frame and the fabric of the building, significantly adding to the thermal insulation properties of the door.

The Light Grille safety device that won the Design 4 Safety award at the IMHX exhibition has now been developed for use with sectional doors. Concealed into the door frame there are no moving parts minimising both the risk of accidental damage and maintenance needs. Set 45cm apart, an array of light beams invisibly protect the area under a closing door. If any of the beams are broken the door will automatically stop.

All these doors have operators that include Soft-start Soft-stop technology that adds to their long service life and contributes to their safe operation. Finger trap protection, side guards and Hörmann’s torsion spring technology, with an integrated spring safety device, are other features that ensure this range meets the safety standards you would expect from the market leader.
