WLN – What’s the most exciting thing about your job?

Identifying new ways to support our customers’ objectives, helping them to find supply chain efficiencies and looking for innovative ways to deliver customer value.

WLN – Who inspired you most in your career?

My Dad – he taught me that you have to work hard if you want to get on in life. He’s also a good sounding board for marketing ideas.

WLN – If you were an item in a warehouse, what would you be?

I’d probably be a Fork Lift Truck: I don’t like standing still and – being a man – I like machines!

WLN – What brought you to this industry?

I previously worked in a similar industry, so supply chain & logistics was a good fit for my experience and skillset.

WLN – If you had to do it all over again, what would you do different?

I’d travel a bit more whilst I still had the chance.

WLN – What’s your favourite pastime?

Eating out and relaxing with my family.

WLN – What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to you?

I once accidentally launched a new product a week early (an advertisement booking malfunction)!

WLN – Do you have any hidden talents?

I am a multi-instrumentalist and have played in professional bands since I was 15 years old.

WLN – Who would be your favourite party guest?

Sepp Blatter, so I could try and convince him to stand down as FIFA President!

WLN – What is the greatest luxury in your life?

My time.

WLN – If you won the Lottery, what would you do?

Pay off my mortgage, buy a couple of cars, sort my friends and family out, take a long holiday and donate the rest to charity.

WLN – Who or what makes you laugh?

Wit and banter.

WLN – Do you have any secret ambitions?

I suppose I haven’t completely given up on becoming a rock star!

WLN – What’s your favourite holiday destination?

I really love Mallorca. Port d’Andratx is my kind of place – naturally beautiful and plenty of nice bars and restaurants to keep me occupied.

WLN – What’s your favourite music album?

I have two – Aja by Steely Dan & The Resistance by Muse. Both are musical production masterpieces.

WLN – What’s your favourite movie?

I actually haven’t seen that many movies, I never seem to have the time!

WLN – What’s your favourite book?

I don’t really have a favourite book but my favourite genre is Autobiographies.

WLN – Who or what do you detest the most?

Laziness

WLN – What would be your advice to someone thinking about coming into the industry (apart from “don’t do it”)?

Keep your customers close, listen to them and act upon their feedback.
