Leading materials handling supplier, Linde Material Handling have invested heavily in the complete redevelopment of a 4000 square metre dedicated used truck refurbishment centre, at its Linde Jewsbury’s Handling Centre.
This new centre is a continuation of an investment programme designed to improve customer access to the wide range of Linde Approved Forklifts. The facility consists of dedicated used truck showrooms, workshops and a wide range of Linde Approved equipment ready to go, available for next day delivery.
Paul Topping of Linde Jewsburys commented, “The centre has been opened to meet the growing demand for quality used equipment and to enable customers to “touch the metal”. It has always been important that customers purchase used equipment from a reputable supplier but perhaps never more so as we come out of recession. One consequence of the recession is that many people reduced forklift maintenance to save money which has resulted in an increased volume of sub standard used forklifts in the market.
“Linde used equipment has been fully maintained by our service technicians and is then subjected to a rigorous process of check and repair before being offered for sale. Our customers can be assured that the Linde Approved product has received the correct level of maintenance from new. Having this type of facility gives our customers the opportunity to see the Approved refurbishment process and also view the vast selection of models we have available.”
The facility will prepare over 500 Approved used trucks a year to meet the growing demand for used equipment. Conveniently located just off the M62, the centre has been designed so that customers can pop in for an informal chat and see the refurbishment process first hand. The comprehensive workshop facilities mean that truck specifications can be matched to the specific needs of the individual customer.
