With just seven months until the doors of the Temperature Controlled Storage & Distribution exhibition open, the industry’s major suppliers are counting down to this key event in the cold supply chain sector.

Unknown-1

TCS&D 2013 – which takes place at the Peterborough Arena on 18 and 19 September – is being supported by both the Food Storage & Distribution Federation (FSDF) and the British Frozen Food Federation (BFFF). Once again incorporating the Frozen & Chilled Foods show, TCS&D 2013 will showcase a diverse range of solutions designed to improve efficiency and reduce costs in frozen and cold logistics.

Big brands to exhibit

The list of exhibitors at TCS&D 2013 features many of the top names in the cold supply chain including Blended Products, BPW, Carrier Transicold, Chalcroft Construction, Chiltern Cold Storage, Commercial Body Fittings, Digital Lumens, Eberspacher, Eistechnik, Gray & Adams, Hormann, Jean Chereau, Jungheinrich, Krone Trailers UK, Montracon, Paneltex, Peter Staines Refrigeration, Ratcliff Palfinger, Schmitz Cargobull, Seven Telematics, SOMI Trailers, Sopp+Sopp, The Cold Consortium, Thermo King, Toyota Material Handling and Viessmann Cold Technology.

A wealth of innovative solutions

Visitors to TCS&D 2013 will see a huge range of products and services on display. Said Martyn Cogan, Sales & Marketing Director for the show, “Centrally located and easily accessible – just a stone’s throw from the A1 and with Peterborough only 45 minutes by rail from King’s Cross – this event is a fantastic opportunity for logistics professionals to experience at first hand everything that’s new in the cold storage and transport sector.”

Among first-time exhibitors at this year’s show will be Viessmann Cold Technology UK Ltd, part of Viessmann Kältetechnik GmbH, the European market leader in bespoke, modular-build cold rooms. Said Steve Prior, UK Director, “We are delighted to be exhibiting at TCS&D and we’ll be using the exhibition to showcase the very latest in modular cold rooms, including our energy-efficient EVO-COOL refrigeration system and our unique SilverProtec antimicrobial powder coating. All of our refrigeration solutions are available for sale, rent or rent-to-buy, and visitors are invited to join us on stand E2 for a drink and to discuss their cold storage needs.”

Another exhibitor new to the TCS&D show is Eistechnik, the Loughborough-based supplier of eutectic transport refrigeration. Unlike traditional refrigeration systems that can be highly polluting, noisy and unreliable, Eistechnik’s solutions make no emissions or noise, hardly ever break down and are more powerful than any previous eutectic system. Explained Matthew Jackson, Commercial Manager, “Our stand at TCS&D 2013 will feature our new generation of eutectic systems. For those who already know about eutectics, it will be a chance to see the fantastic developments that have been made, and for those who don’t, a chance to learn about the vast benefits they can provide. These solutions are not only the ultimate in environmentally friendly transport refrigeration, they also offer overall lifetime costs that can be as much as two thirds lower than air blow systems.”

Also new to the show will be GAH Refrigeration Ltd. A spokesperson for the company commented, “Our presence at TCS&D 2013 forms part of our 20th anniversary celebrations and we’ll be exhibiting a range of our new products, with key members of our team available to answer questions.

Pharmaceuticals carriers and food producers should make a point of coming to see Flexi-temp, our innovative system that allows two insulated compartments to be heated or cooled simultaneously, for the ultimate in flexibility. Also on show will be the SR400, a new 4kW system for panel vans; the J500 and EX700, new cost-effective systems for box body vans; and the L200, a new Lance unit with standby.”

Returning to the show will be Euroscan, supplier of temperature recording solutions for refrigerated transport, which will exhibit at the show with Peter Staines Refrigeration Ltd (PSR), which represents Euroscan in the UK. As well as promoting its considerable expertise in transport refrigeration for customers such as Waitrose, 3663, Brakes and Ferryspeed, PSR will present the full range of Euroscan products on stand C13. These offer many communications options from Bluetooth to iGPRS/GPS, and the PSR stand will feature a live demonstration with real-time telematics data shown on the EuroWEB Internet site. Said Peter Staines, Managing Director of PSR, “We’re really looking forward to this opportunity to demonstrate to the industry what PSR and Euroscan jointly offer in the form of a first-class service for temperature-controlled logistics.”

Inaugural industry awards
