Conveyor Systems Limited (CSL) will exhibit details of bespokeconveying systems that provide successful handling and logistic solutions. Featured on the stand, is a range of conveyors including the new energy efficient 24V non-contact accumulation conveyor (Zero Line Pressure/ZLP), as well as the innovative and proven space saving spiral elevator/lowerator with the latest design “Super Grip” slat not previously exhibited in the UK.
The new 24V Motorised Roller (Zero Line Pressure) conveyor from CSL is ideal for transporting fragile, high value or irregular shaped products, providing smooth transfer and accumulation without the products touching. Manufactured using either extruded low profile aluminium side frames or inmild steel construction, the modules are driven using reliable, energy efficient 24V brushless motorised rollers that are PLC controlled in conjunction with sensors located in each of the driven zones. These conveyors offer maximum flexibility to handle varying throughput rates, unit sizes and traffic patterns, including ‘singulation’ or ‘train release’ (slugs of products) to support easy and safe removal of packages to/from the conveyor.
As specific conveyor zones only run when there are containers present on the line, this drastically reduces energy consumption and noise, whilst also reducing wear and tear of components and therefore contributes to increasing the conveyor system’s operational life.
On display, will be the latest compact column designed spiral elevator/lowerator, which can offer an ideal solution taking product vertically to/from different floor levels, either upwards or downwards, whilst also providing smooth continuous flow and high throughput of product.
Twin lane reversible spirals are also available to cater for modern packaging and logistic systems operating in dual lanes between different floor levels, with each lane being controlled separately and capable of running in opposite directions at differing speeds if required. They can easily be linked to CSL’s new compatible flexible conveying system, on which a wide range of products can be transported around curves, up inclines and straight sections. Whilst only one motor driving long sections of conveyors, systems are simple to integrate and energy efficient.
Of particular interest on the stand will be the compact high speed pneumatically operated 3-way switch sorter which provides a new dimension in integrated system design by adding the facility to divert products off a main line whilst in transit. Other products available from CSL is a range of heavy to light duty powered roller/chain/belt/modular conveyors in mild and stainless steel for handling cartons, cases, shrink-wrapped packs, tote bins, boxes, dollies, pallets, etc.
