Fletcher Moorland Ltd are a family owned business based in Stoke on Trent, providing service and repair for electronic and electro-mechanical equipment.
The company was founded in 1945 and has always existed on the same site in the centre of Stoke. The business has grown and the premises have grown with them, but over time the lighting has deteriorated and the workshops have got darker and darker. In February 2012, they visited the Maintec exhibition at the NEC and met Ocip Energy. Within a few weeks we had visited the site.

The Fletcher Moorland site consists of a number of different work environments, from offices and workshops to training rooms and stores. Ocip Energy undertook a full survey of the site, and presented the findings to the management of Fletcher Moorland. Lighting designs were submitted and approved and a mixture of Dialight fittings were ordered using the Carbon Trust Siemens Finance package. Ocip Energy were able to assist with this application and funds were made available in a very short space of time.
The LED fittings were shipped and installed in May 2012, and have been in continuous use since then as the company operates 24 hours a day on two shifts. In fact, Fletcher Moorland have never been busier and now they are saving significant amounts on their energy bills.
The staff have noticed a big difference in the quality of the lighting since the installation, especially in the areas where precision engineering work is taking place. The business has been delighted with the results and are now looking forward to reaping the benefits of the 70% reduction in energy costs from the lighting.
