The Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) is becoming more sought after day by day. Major blue chip clients and fast moving consumable goods corporations are adopting the scheme, with companies’ such as Sainsbury’s and ASDA demanding that every contractor who works on their site has a valid CSCS card appropriate to their levels of skills.
The CSCS Certificate of Commitment is awarded to companies that have shown a high level of commitment to CSCS and/or its affiliated schemes. This commitment is determined by the proportion of the company’s onsite workers who hold CSCS cards that are valid and current. There are two types of certificate, gold and platinum. To achieve a gold certificate, 75% of the company’s onsite workers must have a CSCS card and to acquire platinum status 90% of onsite workers must obtain the CSCS card.
