Innovative UK storage solutions provider APEX Linvar has been shortlisted in two categories in the finals of the prestigious Manufacturer of the Year Awards.

The Milton Keynes company, which has been designing, manufacturing and installing bespoke storage solutions such as racking and shelving for 75 years, is in contention for the Manufacturing in Action and People and Skills accolades.

APEX Linvar CEO Anthony Finlayson-Green commented: “The whole company is delighted to be announced as a finalist. APEX Linvar has undergone huge changes over recent months and so it’s great that the hard work and investment in people, processes and products has been recognised.

“As a responsible company, we are continuously examining ways in which we can improve in all aspects of the business. Manufacturing is a key element of this because it is what makes us stand out from the crowd and is why we can respond to customer requirements efficiently and effectively.”

APEX Linvar will find out if it has won when representatives join more than 500 manufacturers at a glittering awards presentation being held on November 21 at the Grange Tower Bridge Hotel, London.

The Manufacturer of the Year Awards programme is designed to recognise and reward excellence achieved in all sectors and aims to highlight the diversity and strength of UK manufacturing.

APEX Linvar, a founder member of SEMA (Storage Equipment Manufacturers’ Association), is the only manufacturer of pallet racking in the UK represented at European level on all the major technical groups developing European standards and is currently the only UK manufacturer of pallet racking who can comply with the new SEMA design code.

And earlier this year, APEX Linvar achieved the prestigious ISO 14001 accreditation for the quality of its environmental management systems.
