Impact Handling has added a new Scania R480 tractor unit and trailer to their delivery fleet as demand for their class leading Cat® lift trucks continues to rise. Based at the Corby preparation centre the new truck is already out earning it’s keep.
As with all the equipment provided by Impact Handling, the new truck has been purchased outright, representing another significant investment in customer service. This follows on from the extension of the Corby site which includes a new customer service centre.
With a commitment to local service from a national network the Corby centre acts as a central hub, preparing all new equipment and refurbishing used. A £2 million buffer stock of new Cat® lift trucks is held on-site along with both used vehicles and a hire fleet.
“The new Scania is simply an additional tool, needed as we and our customers grow,” explains Group Asset Manager, Jarrod Tomblin, “We work very hard to meet our customers needs and expectations, genuinely offering a truly flexible approach to their fleet management. We need to respond quickly, hence we own all our own vehicles and have an extensive range of equipment ready to go when needed. The new truck adds to our ability to look after our customers, by delivering more equipment more efficiently, to meet their deadlines
