The Food Storage and Distribution Federation (FSDF) has announced the theme for its 2012 conference, from 30th September to 1st October at Eastwood Hall, Nottingham.

Titled “Food Supply Chain Excellence – Opportunities and Challenges”, the conference will focus on the current economic climate and the opportunities and challenges this represents to the food industry as we feed the nation and grow our export volumes. In particular, the sessions will review the way in which successful corporate supply chain structures bring food manufacturing and logistics functions together to provide excellent and profitable business solutions.

The conference, which is run in collaboration with the British Frozen Food Federation, includes keynote sessions from Government and manufacturing which will set the pace with a strategic and customer focused overview of the current food business environment. Breakout tracks will specialise on manufacturing and logistics issues, as well as covering technical and operations areas of mutual interest to all delegates, including update sessions on the new Climate Change Agreements and on ammonia driven refrigeration plant regulations.

An exhibition is also included to enable delegates to see the latest equipment and services available to support their businesses.

There are a number of delegate packages available. Golf enthusiasts can begin the event with a round of golf at Notts Golf Course on Sunday 30th September or alternatively, delegates can join for breakfast on Monday 1st October – more information on the conference on the packages is available online at www.cvent.com/d/7cqqkb
